On January 31 2011, at the much-too-young age of 38, our rock star, best friend, brilliant angel, and fearless hero slipped away from this life and headed to the next beautiful horizon. Jeff was loved by so many, and it was with this blanket of absolute devotion and loving support that he was able to slip away quietly and gently in his own home.
During his memorial services in SC and RI, I played a series of videos I created. My hope was to bring you as close as possible to sharing what I was privileged enough to share for 17 years: life with Jeff. I share them with you here and hope that you enjoy your time exploring his life through the songs, images, and words I have picked. I hope his story inspires you to go out and live, right here, right now, and enjoy the moment, as Jeff was so adept at doing.

This is a great overview of Jeff!

If you have found this site, then you are showing your support just by reading this! Thank you.
On behalf of Jeff and his family, we want to share his story and and encourage you to take the action of donating for his care.
Through the pages we have shared here, you will meet a terrific man, gain some insight
about brain cancer and treatment choices, and explore another option for cancer treatment that does not involve traditional chemo therapy and radiation.
As Jeff takes this journey, and fights for his life, he has particpated in treatment through Dana Farber, Duke Hospital, and The Burzynski Clinic. Currently, Jeff's cancer continues to grow and he is seeking further treatment at the Cancer Centers of the Carolinas. As long as there are options, there is HOPE.
Our sincere hope is that Jeff and others like him who have been told that they are terminal and have little or no options, can have their hopes for survival renewed through your support, word, and encouragment.
So read, learn, share, and please
donate. Your donation goes 100% towards the cost of treating Jeff, and anything above his needs will be applied towards helping bridge the financial gaps for others in Jeff's position through money gifts.
* Jeff chose the slogan, "Breaking the Barrier" for two reasons. First, with his type of cancer involving the brain, the blood/brain barrier which normally protects the healthy brain, also works against it when drugs and cancer treatment options are blocked from reaching the cancer site within the brain tissue. This is what makes treating brain cancer so incredibly difficult and challenging. Second, thousands of people with cancer are blocked from getting the treatments they would chose because insurance companies, drug companies, and the FDA set up barriers to receiving these treatments. Jeff sincerely hopes that by paying his way and getting treatment through the Burzynski clinic using antineoplastons, he can help get this treatment option past Phase 3 clinical trials and available to any and all future cancer patients who would want to get treated this way. His hope is that insurance companies will be forced to pay for this viable and successful treatment option and that no one one will be turned away based on whether they have failed at traditional chemo therapy and radiation first, as is the case currently.
